TAP•it Tech Tour 2012
December 20, 2011
OLYMPIA, London – (Dec. 20, 2011) – The TAP·it Tech Tour 2012 will provide nearly a dozen students the opportunity to interact with the latest hardware and software at BETT, the world’s leading educational technology event, as well as a chance to be on live radio. The tour will make four stops on Jan. 13, 2012, beginning at 1:00 p.m. GMT at the Olympia Exhibition Centre on Hammersmith Rd. in Olympia, London. Tour visits include: BETT Radio, Sherston Software (B56), SMART™ Technologies (B50), and TAP·it (SN71).
Experienced academic administrator Dr. Raymond Heipp will lead the excursion, stopping first at the BETT Radio booth where students will see and participate in a live radio broadcast. They will meet Russell Prue, show host and award winning ICT Evangelist. Next, students will visit Sherston Software’s Planet Sherston. The company is launching its student home interface at BETT 2012, and giving tour goers an exclusive first look at the program that allows students chose an avatar and care for their avatar by completing learning activities.
The next stop is SMART Technologies, where students will have some fun with SMART’s professional artist. Students will interact with SMART’s hardware and software and preview firsthand their new, artistic capabilities. Finally, the Tech Tour will take students to the TAP·it stand, for an opportunity to experience intended touch technology.
