CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland Corporate Services™, Inc. (CCS) dba SmartEd Services™ is named one of the 2011 Top Workplaces in Northeast Ohio. Workplace Dynamics ranked the region’s companies based on employee nominations and surveys. The results are featured in the Plain Dealer’s best employers in Northeast Ohio spotlight.
Cleveland Corporate Services ranks number 49 on the list of 60 small company Top Workplaces, with 50 – 149 local employees. The company is also mentioned in the paper’s “life in the workplace” section, highlighting the perks at some of Northeast Ohio’s Top Workplaces. The Plain Dealer reports, “Cleveland Corporate Services provides fresh fruit every week -- as well as a refrigerator stocked with juice, milk, condiments and salad dressings.” CCS also provides an annual spa day for the women working at the National Headquarters in Cleveland.
The company encourages healthy lifestyles with free gym memberships as part of the benefits package. The program promotes adopting behavior changes to assist in: weight management, diet and nutrition, physical activity, tobacco cessation, and stress management. Cleveland Corporate Services takes this idea one step further, hosting an annual “Biggest Loser” contest. In 2010, 36 employees participated in the weight loss competition and collectively shed nearly 400 pounds in a matter of months. Each week, the employee with the highest percentage of body weight lost won a $15 gift certificate. The grand prize winner received round trip airfare for two to San Francisco, CA.
Sixty-four employees participated in the 2011 “Biggest Loser” contest. This year’s winner lost 13.79% of his body weight, and gained two round trip tickets to any U.S. destination. Three additional employees won a cash prize for submitting weekly wellness tips.
In addition to being a Top Workplace, CCS was ranked #28 on Weatherhead’s list of Northeast Ohio’s 100 fastest-growing companies in 2010, with an annual sales growth of 164%. The company looks forward to future growth and continued success.
