How to Buy
SmartEd Services helps educators make timely, informed technology purchases—with confidence. To that end, we offer a variety of opportunities for our clients to research and experience products they are considering, including:
- technology consultations with a regional representative
- on-site demonstrations
- exhibits at educational conferences and tradeshows
- downloadable print and multimedia content available at www.teachsmart.org
Find a Regional Representative
Our regional account executives reside within the geographic areas they serve. Many of our representatives have worked as educators. They understand the content standards that schools are charged to meet, and the need to engage children in the learning process for academic success. To identify the representative for your area, visit www.teachsmart.org or call 800.251.4077.
Schedule an On-Site Demonstration
When they arrive at your school to discuss technology, your regional representative will bring demonstration equipment that allows you and your faculty to make a hands-on assessment of the SMART Board™ or other educational tools you are considering. Our goal is to ensure that the equipment you purchase is the best fit for your students, faculty, facility and curriculum.

Request a Quote
Once you have decided on the products that fit your technology plan, your SmartEd Services regional representative will work with you to develop a “Quote Request.” In addition to hardware and software, the Quote Request may include services such as installation, project management and professional development. After the Quote Request has been submitted to SmartEd Services’ Order Fulfillment Department, you will receive a detailed “Quote” outlining the costs and products and services.

After careful review of the Quote, your technology purchase can be initiated in any of the following ways:

Scheduling Installation
SmartEd Services’ factory trained and certified professional installers are available to integrate interactive whiteboards, projectors, projection screens, audio, control systems and other AV components in a single classroom or throughout an entire campus. Remember to ask for estimated installation costs in your initial quote request.
Our integration manager will contact you to schedule an installation upon receiving notification from the manufacturer that your shipment has been delivered. SmartEd Services continuously tracks product shipment from the manufacturer following confirmation of your order. Please note: installation scheduling is dependent on manufacturer lead-time for product shipping which can vary anywhere from 30–45 days upon receipt of your purchase order.
Client Care Services
Once your order has been received, our client care specialists are available to respond to questions regarding billing, shipping, service and ongoing support.
Product Orientation
The success of a technology purchase can be measured by its use. SmartEd Services’ 90-minute product orientation is designed to provide no more than 12 participants with a foundation for using the SMART Board interactive whiteboard effectively. This complimentary presentation covers the basic ideas and information as to how the SMART Board works and how it can be used within a specific environment. There are limited opportunities for hands-on practice as this presentation is meant as more of primer for the participants.
