Return Policy
Return & Refund Policies
SmartEd Services offers a 30-day return policy on most products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call Client Care at 800-251-4077 ext 410 or email clientcare@teachsmart.org to request a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Please be prepared to provide the following information:
- SmartEd Services Sales Order #, Invoice #, or your Purchase Order #
- Product make and model
- Product serial number if applicable
Damaged or Defective Items
Please contact Client Care within 15 days of receiving any item that appears to have been damaged in shipping or that you believe to be defective. Whenever possible, please note all damage with the carrier, and refuse delivery of the damaged item. If you have accepted delivery, retain all original packaging and photograph the damage for documentation purposes.
Return Terms
- Requests for RMA must be received within 30 calendar days of product delivery.
- Product must be returned to SmartEd Services within 10 business days from issue date of Return Authorization.
- Product must be returned complete and in original packaging. This includes all accessories, manuals and documentation that shipped with the product.
- Opened, damaged or marked packages will not receive full credit, or may be considered ineligible for return.
- Credit or exchange for returned items will be offered at the discretion of SmartEd Services.
Responsibility for Shipping Costs
- Original shipping charges will not be refunded or credited on returns.
- Return shipping arrangements and applicable fees are the responsibility of the client.
- SmartEd Services cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred during the return shipment, and recommends choosing a carrier that will provide insurance and tracking information.
- Items received without a valid RMA number, or deemed ineligible for return upon inspection, will be refused or returned to the client at the client’s expense.
Restocking Fee
A 15% open box fee will be assessed on any opened product. All internal packaging, including that of accessories and documentation, must be returned in its original, sealed condition.
Return Restrictions
Items Not Eligible for Return, Refund or Exchange
- Opened projector lamps
- Software that has been opened or activated
- Electronic software downloads
- Product that is custom-configured to your specifications
- SmartEd Services' Gift Cards
Special Orders
Products that are specially ordered may be returned at the manufacturer's discretion and may be subject to additional restocking fees or considered ineligible for return. Please contact Client Care for further information or questions on a specific product.
Custom-Configured Products
We are pleased to offer products that are custom-configured to your specifications. When placing a custom order please review the purchase order carefully. Since the product is built to your specifications, the order cannot be changed, modified, or canceled once your order is in production. Products that have been configured-to-order or customized may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances.
