Highlights
Each lesson is entirely presented on video by an experienced, award-winning teacher. Overall, there are 290 questions and tutorial video clips. Video elements are chosen from a table of contents consisting of 35 lessons arranged in 5 chapters. Teachers will discover a host of innovative presentation ideas, in addition to using TeachSmart™ when they are absent or anytime they wish to present or reinforce a new math topic.
After viewing the video lesson content, the student is prompted to answer a group of about eight questions. Each question is supported by video content illustrating the correct response. The student may elect to play the exact part of the video presentation that reveals the correct way to work the problem.
A management module allows teachers to review student progress based on a single module, or cumulatively over a specified time period. Using this tool, educators can assess whether a student has truly grasped a specific learning standard, or identify problems blocking comprehension.
