Learning is amplified with SMART Audio

Amplify learning
SMART Audio ensures that your lessons will be heard above the daily activity of your classroom. Designed for even sound distribution, this practical and powerful classroom amplification system improves the quality and clarity of your voice throughout the entire room. When you speak, your words will be easily heard by every student, improving understanding, engagement and performance. Download SMART Audio PDF

Speak volumes
With this system, you don’t have to raise your voice or repeat your instructions to reach the students that sit at the back of the classroom. And because the teacher microphone is wireless, you can move throughout the room to help your students. SMART Audio also includes a handheld, wireless student microphone, so when a student participates, everyone can hear.

To use the system, simply wear the teacher microphone around your neck. As you speak, your voice is broadcast through four speakers that can be mounted on either the ceiling or walls. You can also adjust the audio tone according to your preference, ensuring that voices sound natural and clear.

Express the lesson
SMART Audio enhances your multimedia lessons. You can connect the system to a portable MP3 player, DVD player or other device. When you use the system to play an audio file, you can still speak into the microphone to add commentary, furthering your students’ understanding. Use the Recorder feature in SMART Notebook software to record your voice during a lesson and save it for future playback or distribution. You’ll have audio-enhanced lessons to share with your colleagues or use as review material for your students.

Key Features

  • Wireless infrared system – Move freely around your room as you teach. The wireless infrared teacher and student microphones offer quality and reliability for everyday classroom use – and you never have to worry about interference from other technology products, such as cellular phones.

  • Speakers – Attach the four high-quality ceiling- or wall-mounted speakers for even sound distribution throughout the classroom.

  • Dual channel – Use the teacher and student microphone at the same time. The dual channel ensures that both microphones have high sound quality and will not interfere with each other.

  • Receiver – Attach audio and multimedia devices to the receiver and the sound will be heard throughout the room. You can also send audio to recording equipment or a video camera. The receiver processes and amplifies audio signals. It includes an integrated infrared sensor, volume dials, tone
control, two auxiliary inputs, one auxiliary output and four speaker terminals.

  • Wireless microphones – Wear the lightweight, adjustable teacher microphone on a lanyard around your neck. Encourage students to participate with the wireless, handheld student microphone. Both microphones come with rechargeable batteries and a wall recharger – once charged, the microphones
    last the entire school day.

  • Infrared sensor – Speak into the student and teacher microphones and the infrared signals will be picked up by the sensor. You can choose to use the integrated sensor on the receiver or the ceiling-mounted external sensor.

  • Multimedia device compatibility – Incorporate audio files from a computer, VCR, DVD player, portable MP3 player or CD player into your lesson. The sound will be evenly distributed throughout the room. You can also speak over any multimedia audio file.

  • SMART Recorder – Record a student’s voice or other sounds during a lesson, and SMART Notebook software enables you to play them back later. Warranty – SMART Audio has a two-year warranty on all components excluding batteries, which have a 30-day warranty.
